Matlacha Historic District Petition & Resolution Documents

In 1990 Lee County designated a portion of Matlacha, along Pine Island Road, a Historic District.  Some of these structures were erected on the fill dirt added along the road leading up to the new Matlacha Bridge that was constructed in 1926 and opened in 1927.  Even though the area was designated in 1990 we decided to add these documents in this section because it refers to the structures that were erected in the years after the bridge was constructed up until after World War II.

The first document list each property included in the Matlacha Historical District.  The second document contains a map showing the properties.  We felt it best to include both here for reference.
